Welcome to Theatre of the Dales
Since 1997, Theatre of the Dales has been taking professional productions of Shakespeare, popular comedy, new writing, and classics of the small stage to venues in and around Yorkshire.
Authors have included Charles Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe, Noel Coward, Ionesco, Willy Russell, Jim Cartwright, John Godber, together with local writers like Stuart Fortey, Paul Priest and Peter Spafford.

A Summer's Day - Autumn 2010
Written for Theatre of the Dales and premiered at the 2009 Headingley LitFest, this play about Will Shakespeare, Mr. W.H. and the 'Dark Lady' incorporates twelve famous sonnets and will tour colleges and schools in the autumn term.
Three Cheers For Christmas - Winter 2010
Three shepherds, three kings, and three ghosts provide a festive family treat in this triple bill of the old farce Mak the Sheepstealer, Carlo Menotti's touching story of Amahl and the Night Visitors and David Robertson's delightful adaptation of A Christmas Carol. On tour in Yorkshire villages throughout December.
